    msn plus

If every user of MacOSX sends anyone an email I am pretty sure that person will get very angry at us... if you guys want to send an email to him that might help to convince him but don't start spamming him or anything.

    msn plus

The guys a "wanker" because he didn't give you source code? What the heck kind of crud is that, people work hard to make these programs they shouldn't be expected to give out their hard work for someone to potentially butcher...

Mac laptops cheaper than Dell's offerings?

dell laptops are probably the best quality major pc brand you can get. I work with them quite often and have had very few problems. When compared to a apple laptop they may be a bit more expensive and less aesthetically(sp?) pleasing but you have to remember they do have a faster...

How do I use strings in OS X?

why is your main() int? It doesn't return an int... And should there be a .h after string? I havn't really used strings too much so I can't really help you with much more.

    syntax coloring

Don't waste time checking text that has not changed... As gumse suggested, only check the word that has just been typed or any word that has been modified by something that was just typed.

    OS X and File Types

I am a windows user still, can't quite afford a mac yet but I think I know how to fix your problem. Select a .htm file and go to the info box (apple i) then go to the open with box and choose safari and tell it to open all .htm files with safari. That should do it.

    Dissapointed so far

There is no way that WinXP or Win2k are "faster" than 98. Think about it, winXP's minimum requirements are like double that of 98, so you have half of a system left to do the same amount of work. I have owned 98 and 2k and I can tell you that 2k is the slower of the two on the same hardware...

    iPod Changes? Price? Size?

Yes Bill Gates's statement is quite silly when looking back with hindsight but this is actually quite similar to the situation he saw at that time. If the ipod is to remain a mere mp3 player then it is really pointless to increase its capacity any more. If computers remained just calculator...

    iPod Changes? Price? Size?

My point is that you have no need for highly encoded files on the ipod. Are you going to go and spend in excess of 200 dollars to get headphones to hear that high quality sound? I doubt that you or the average consumer really cares enough to go and purchase high quality headphones over the...

    iPod Changes? Price? Size?

on slashdot.org there is a story about new 1.8 inch hard drives up to 80 gigs coming out soon. So the ipod could jump in size once more, but who really needs a 60 gig mp3 player?

What about your hard drive ?

I have a cable modem and a 40 gig hard drive. What I do is every once and a while (when I get below 10 gigs) I clean up everything by deleating all my old .mp3 files that I will never listen to and by putting everything I wont be using in the immediate future on cdrs.
