downloaded the 10.3.9 combo update, burnt it and formatted my system. installed my OSX cd (v10.3.7) and installed the update. everything runs faster in my experience.. not 1 problem so far.

I had Doom 3 on my Windows PC (Intel P4 3.0GHz with HT, 1GB DDR-RAM, 128Mb nVidia GeForce FX 5200) and it ran like absolute crap... even on 600x480 res. Has anyone tried running Doom 3 on an Apple Powerbook 12-inch? would like to know what people think of the performance under a powerbook...

i cant wait for Battlefront on OSX... i played this game on my mates Xbox and Ps2 version... its the best star wars game ever... Im so glad their porting it to OSX. Yay one for Mac!

so i cant just view my ISP's newsgroups like in Outlook Express or Thunderbird? I have to download software that cost $$$?

I downloaded NeoOffice/J 1.1 Beta (with Patch 9) and it looks very Office 95/Linuxey. Is there any other free office suites out there that have a not-so Linux feel and look?

Can i view newsgroups through Mail or should I download a third-party newsgroup reader such as Thunderbird? What apps do people prefer?

atleast its better than Windows... that left files all over the place from uninstalled programs, also left the registry in a mess... thank god for mac

Is there any thing thats absoultely groundbreaking? I know Spotlight is the best feature coming, but its not all that important, something we can all live without in one way or another. Maybe well have to wait till 10.5 or even 10.6.

ok what would you like to see in the next version of MacOS thats not included in 10.4?

Would we expect to see another 10.x revision before MacOS XI ? Do you expect a major difference like we saw in MacOS 9 to MacOS X? What would you like to see in MacOS 11? Any ideas and comments welcome.

new to macosx, i installed the latest version of MSN messenger 4 and got it running after the download. since i had restarted my computer, when i connect to the internet and then click on the MSN icon i put in the dock, it wont load and a question mark pops over the picture. How can I get MSN...
