I use osx as a server, one hd is used on the network.
On the client side I use xpress with placed illustrator files, these files are stored on the hd at macosx.
When I want to update the eps file in xpress or wants to open the file via xpress with open publisher, the illustrator file...
I found something at Apple that you can login as your user/login name from osx on a os9 computer but on the setting at the osx side you must be an administrator.
The only problem here is that you will have access to all the files.

OSX installs extra files in classic os9, if these files are not there you can't start up from any other system that don't have these extra extensions, even from cd.

Macosx installs a new file sharing extension in your classic system.
When I put the old one back in the file sizes are ok again on the network.
Am I the only one or not with this problem??

Put a new system 9 on it and the file sizes on the network were ok again, but after switching to OSx and back to os 9 the file sizes were again 256MB and 512MB.
Can anybody check this if this happens to them also!
Computer: b/w G3 with 4 internal hd
hd1 is os9 with the classic files for osx
hd2 is osx
hs3 is another os9
I wanted to start up with hd3 and selected in the control panels from os9 the startup disk hd3. After reboot it would not run os9 from hd3.

I tried texedit before msword but it could not open the file and I read somewere that texedit fileformat is RTF so I did not go further with it because of this.
