Ok, I've just purchased Jaguar, made a clean install. Everything is fine evn though it took me a while to reconfigure everything... I had some problems importing my old backed up contacts list into the new address book app. Only problem now: Mail doesn't like pictures of my contacts. Images...

check all your address book related files: prefs, etc. It has to do something with them probably...

Hope this hasen't been discussed before... I didn't find anything on the subject. I really need to change Chimera's (or Mozilla's) identity and make it pretend it is Explorer to access a certain site. Omni can do it easily in the prefs. Can the Moz boyz do the same somehow?

I came across a movie ripped with the XDIV codec. I found a website: www.xvid.org But it doesn't say anything about a Mac version. Does anyone know anything about this codec? VLC can play the video, but not the audio.. weird.

Hmm... new problem: the OSeX extracted file plays with no audio by default. To hear sound I had to enable it from the "Languages" menu in VLC. MacDivX rips it with default settings, i.e. no sound. Is there any solution?

Exactly... just end up with 3 avi files. Then open them in QT Pro, copy and paste 'em into a single final file. Be careful to save as a self-contained as Krevinek noted. So.. how did it go, voice? :)

Voice, yes, OSEx quit on me too after about 2Gb. That's why I actually split the file into 3 (ad I said in my first post). Just select a few chapters at a time. Then it was only a matter of copying and pasting the 3 files together.
