Is there a way to make the safari download manager disappear after a download, the way the firefox does? It is a minor nuisance to have to keep closing it every time I download something.

If it is bad, does anybody sell a dummy battery that will take the place of the battery so it doesn't rock back and forth?

My girlfriend has an iBook that she leaves plugged in all the time. I am wondering if this is shortening the life of the battery? My windows laptops from work I have noticed that it seems to significantly shorten the battery life to leave them plugged in all the time.

I am trying to remember what I am doing when it happens. The keyboard is only a couple of feet from the box. It seems that I am using the keyboard; I stop and I believe I am plugging or unplugging (cant remember) a firewire drive. Then I go back to type something and it stops working.

Is there any reason that my keyboard would keep losing its connection? I have to remove the batteries for the connection to come back? Is this a sign of dead batteries or someting else?

Is it possible to swap the dvd drive in the powermac to another internal drive. The reason I ask is that I would like to install a dual layer dvd+/-R drive, which will also do 16x recording.

I just bought a new system and put in my quicktime pro code in system preferences. It says quicktime 6 pro in the registration window, but how do I open quicktime pro? When I go to Apps all I have is quicktime player???
