Its mouse buttons in universal access. go into system preffs then into universal access and turn off mouse keys and your numbers will work agian!

The Command line is not needed by everyday users . It is used by devolopers and people that know unix. You will not need to do this all you have to do is double click on the app and presto, it runs.
