Firewire Direct (http://www.firewiredirect.com/) tells me they'll soon be releasing such a card and that I can preorder it now. No mention of price. So, if you've been waiting for this it'll be just a bit longer.

Does anyone know why there does not appear to be an add-in card that would upgrade my G4 to USB 2.0 AND Firewire 800? There are many that do one or the other but none that I've found that do both. Technically difficult or manufacturers aren't up to speed? Thanks.

My daughter recently upgraded her slot loading iMac to Jaguar. She needs to use Entourage for her email. I use Mail. Whenever I (also Jaguar) send her something she receives a blank message. Is there anyone who has come across this problem and can offer an explanation?

I also want a backup solution but the RAID alternative is pricey. For now, I installed a second HD right inside the tower (couldn't be easier). Made both boot drives and try to keep them close (a nice piece of cheap software would be good).

I like 7 also. The Mail filters are backwards though. To block junk one must create a rule for each sender! At least I think that's how it works. Dumb.
