yeah no games come with panther unless you got new machine. Still i did manage to get otto and deminos installed by installing the packages and classic support package of the dvd 10.2.3 disk i got with my new imac along with idvd. think they were all part of the ilife package origionally.

Am i right in asuming that classic and idvd are not bundled with Panther ? i suppose i will need to purchase ilife to use idvd.? shame it's not there as i use it a lot.

I think your all missing the point. with an upgrade you use the same disk file system. with a clean install osx updated the disk format to the improved apple disk file system, with this optomized the load times will be greatly improved and optimized. well it's racing like a beast on my 1Ghz G4...

Well i use a usb scanner and printer and they both work perfect. It's strange with the phone. It is a usb device. like i said its detected fine and all drivers are in. just the final stage of file transfer fails. very wierd. oh well i am stuck with this hunk of crap microshaft pc forever :(

If you have two macs you could connect them together using the ethernet and hold down T on the ibook( with the broken screen) whilst booting up, then the drives would appear on the other macs finder. You would then be able to salvage data that way ?
