just because it's over 1 ghz doesn't inherently make it a hot chip. clock for clock the 970 is actualy a cooler chip than the G4.

Toast is created by roxio, and no they do not own it. I believe they did buy out a smaller company when they were looking to integrate cd burning into the finder. If they bought roxio they'd get jam, toast, easy CD creator for the PC as well as many others.
