i dont think we'll see the end of the shuffle - but its in need of a big price drop. the shuffle should be the ipod that 'everyone' owns - and then apple can either up-sell - or get people hooked and they will inevitably want to up-grade. i'd love to see the day when a shuffle is included...

i'm starting to get ipod / imac / front row fatigue. too many threads about the same subject - the idea of the ipod acting as the 'media centre' was bought up just before the special event and a few times in other threads too.

RyanLang - as far as i can see... nothing! currently on the quicktime pages there is a bit of blurb trying to get people to pay for the upgrade to pro by saying something along the lines of 'create content for the new ipod'... so i'm guessing as long as its in the right format - and in itunes...

sorry - i think theres some confusion - what i meant was the in-line ipod remote - the ipod no longer supports its own in-line remote!! the stand alone remote can be bought along with the new 'universal dock' to control the ipod should you have it hooked up to a tv / radio / etc. apple...
