Apple tech support gave me the answer that I needed. A hub is older technology, and is like a walky talky...only one way of communication at a time. A switch is the newer technology, and can have communication coming and going at the same time. Answer = switch

What is the difference between a hub and a switch? A switch is definitely better for this setup?

Yes, it is an Airport Extreme/Bluetooth card. It's not the audio that is loud. It just makes a loud humming noise when it is burning a CD. Have already run Repair Disk Permissions.

But step 2 denotes that you need to remove the T15 screws to remove the housing before you can replace the RAM.

Do any iMac G4's have little phillips screws on the bottom plate that you take off to replace the RAM, or do ALL iMac G4's have screws that you can only unscrew with a T15 screwdriver? The iMac in question is an iMac G4 1GHz pc 2100. Thanks.
