Blueberry wont boot to install CD??

If that G5 tower has an available drive bay, you can put the HD in that and install. Or if you have a firewire enclosure, you can similarly install to that. Just remember, you gotta partition for it to work in the Blueberry Clamshell.

Blueberry wont boot to install CD??

When you load the CD and get the boot select screen, you have to click on the CD icon to actually select it before clicking on the Forward button. Could also be that your CD drive is too old and frail to deal with the Panther CD.

Blueberry wont boot to install CD??

Your 40 GB HD must be partitioned to accommodate OSX. From Low End Mac: "Mac OS X If you have a hard drive over 8 GB in size, you must partition it or you will not be able to install Mac OS X. If you are creating the partition within OS X, it must be smaller than 7.45 as reported by Disk...

    Resizing Text

On some sites (e.g., The Onion) changing the viewable text size on one page will correspondingly change the text size on linked pages. It would be great if this site could behave like that too! ThanX for considering this ridiculous suggestion Scott.

    edit system spell checker

Gee, I still have the Forget button in 10.4.9. Until you enter in a word though it remains a little greyed out.

    The new keyboards!

simbalala, since somewhere in Panther you could assign single key commands using Keyboard Shortcuts from the Keyboard & Mouse Preference pane. That's one reason I prefer a full keyboard, 'cause you can use all of the numeric pad for shortcuts. Kind of a pain to set up though, as it requires...

How to add items to the menu bar

Alias Menu allows you to add as many items to the Menu bar as will fit. Unfortunately it is only available for PPC and has still not been optimized for Tiger (though it basically works okay.)

    No Leopard until October

Can UNO do anything more than Unsanity's Metallifizer? Because in UNO's screen shot on MacUpdate, there is an error concerning iTunes. Back on topic, I'm kinda glad Leopard's release is being pushed back. After all, Tiger has only recently been updated with 10.4.9. Don't see the point in...

    UniversalAccessApp

Universal Access is a Preference Pane, go to Preferences to see all the annoying things it can do for you. I also noticed that it runs constantly and wastes a bunch of RAM, but don't remember whether it was slowing down my system. Anyway I moved that Preference Pain to a new folder...

    Problems With Keyboard

If you search for keyboard you should find at least one such file in Library/Preferences and maybe an alternate in ~/Library/Prefences/ByHost.

    Problems With Keyboard

Dunno if this will help, but take a look at com.apple.keyboardtype.plist file to see if it reads Crashed. If so, delete it.

    Replace Combo with Super Drive

The most important thing I can think of is that the drive be bootable in a Mac. I bought one from MCE and it performs flawlessly. Here's a SuperDrive of theirs tailored to the PowerMac. It goes for $59.

Using iphoto to send photos to Snapfish

Don't think you are doing anything wrong, I assume Snapfish automatically converts files to about the lowest resolution possible to conserve bandwidth. My friends upload albums of like a hundred pictures at a time and at full resolution that would be quite a bundle! When I download, each image...

    iMac G3 - OS X

Chris, if you have the 333 MHz, tray-loading iMac, then Tiger cannot be installed on that machine without a hack. Which Version of OS X does it say it is running in About this Mac?
