Desperately seeking fast networking for InDesign workgroup

I would say that your 1st most obvious problem is that you want to stop using your "file sever" as a workstation which is what you appear to be doing. Any activity while you work on it will bog down the performance of other users. I would try working off a NAS try drobo i hear it's cool as...

    The Missing Sync and Bluetooth

I have had similar problems with my Treo and TMS for Palm OS. The bluetooth just will not connect. I usually have to toggle the bluetooth on and off in both the phone & my Mac and sometimes repair them. It eventually works.

    Linksys WAG54GS Wireless Problems

Make sure your iBook Wireless card is pulling a good IP address from the Router. I have been having this problem with 10.5 where I can ping the router, but with DHCP set up I am not pulling an IP address. Then I have to toggle the AirPort on and off and try the renew DHCP button if none of...

    Growl for Adobe CS

I absolutely LOVE Growl, but what I need most is support for CS3. I work with large files over a SLOWWW network and would like to use Growl to notify me whenever the process that PS, ID, AI is working on is complete. I hate how I obsessively keep switching back to the app to see if it is done...

Since I have upgraded to 10.5.1 I have not been able to get my FireWire iPod to mount. It shows that it is charging, but will not mount. I could swear that this worked in 10.5? It still mounts on my other Mac at work under Tiger. It is an iPod with color display and came with USB2 cable...

You should give it another try because I found Path Finder runs better under Leopard and it can finally replace the Finder completely.

    Abandon QuickSilver for LaunchBar?

I abandoned LaunchBar for Quicksilver some time ago. This was do to the fact that I was told that QS could so SO MUCH MORE. Back in my LB days I only used it as a launcher. With QS I have branched out to using the proxy Objects, append file functions, triggers. There also seems pluggin...

SuperDuper Backup on USB Flash Drive

I have been using the unlicensed copy now for a few months to back up my entire HD to an eternal FireWire. Actually today I am going to spend the money, this program is worth the $30, and I need the incremental backups and multiple locations and schedules. Not 100% sure how well it is going to...
