sounds like its trying to kill a process, check out top in a terminal and see if there's anything running you didn't know about.

select the folder, hit apple+i that should bring up the information. Then copy (apple+c) an image such as from here: http://www.xicons.com/ then select the folder icon at the top left hand side and paste the image (apple+p)

ive installed a few..APE, fruit menu. It was doing it before these though. I could have installed something previously, just can't remember. Txt doesn't change after logout/reboot...it stays the same. Is there any location where it OSX would keep information on txt display, if I could get a...

yep, I want to restrict them. It would be one user account that allows me to easily transfer files among the non believers who use pc's. So no other protocols are needed..........just want to be able to let them access one folder with a user/password ta :D

ay up.... Anyone know how to change the directory FTP goes to...ie At the moment it goes into the users root with Desktop. pictures etc.....can I forward the FTP requests to a single directory/folder only i.e Public?? ta :D
