    Deleting Microsoft AutoUpdate?

Scratch that last resort idea! I've been to 2 different MS forums, and it seems the Microsoft AutoUpdate opening several times a day is very common--dating back a year! Only solution is to delete app, which I have. No mention of the hidden files that I have, however, as 99% of the responders...

    Deleting Microsoft AutoUpdate?

Well... Disabling SIP did not work! I did learn something new, however. M1 Macs cannot startup in Recovery mode using Command+R; that is only for Intel Macs. To start in Recovery mode on M1 Macs; after Shutdown, not Restart, press & hold the startup button (in my case, the finger used for...

    Deleting Microsoft AutoUpdate?

7.3, 6.2, 6.2, 6.1 MB. 25.8MB altogether. That's quite large in my book. :) I found instructions online to do that. Will attempt in a bit. Thanks! For those interested: #3 in this. https://nektony.com/how-to/remove-apps-protected-by-sip

    Deleting Microsoft AutoUpdate?

I have deleted Microsoft AutoUpdate app and many 'periferials', but 4 large files remain as they are locked and cannot be unlocked, at least bye traditional methods. Any idea how? (if they were small, I'd let them ride, but they are quite large! These are the files, and one of the 'Get Info's'...

    Folder item count

Simple question that I cannot find anywhere! Please--where is it. New MBP and cannot find setting anywhere to get the item count along the botton of any folder I open. Always had it on my old MBP, but somehow lost it. (Have tried finder prefs, all system prefs, and even all of TinkerTool)

Apple Will Offer Parts and Tools for DIY Repairs

I've done many of my own for years. Batteries; keyboards; fans; hard drives. Parts have been available thanks to Other World, iFixit, Powerbook Medic, etc.

    iOS Safari Bookmarks

MBP & iPhone. (read my 'signature') I sync with iCloud partially. Not Safari. (I could, though). Don't I have to delete all the phone's bookmarks 1st???

    iOS Safari Bookmarks

I’ve pruned & condensed my Mac bookmarks. How do I delete & reinstall bookmarks on my iPhone?

    ndoagent

The bastard on phone lied to me. Since it’s beta, they need Mac for 24-48 hours! They will not reinstall from my backup, but, with a new appointment, they’ll help me. Argh! (On my iPhone—having withdrawals)

STOP the presses. :( I spoke too soon. 5 hours after the 'repair', and 5 hours since the last popup--it's back. Restarted in safe mode; then back to regular mode. No change--still getting it. Back to tech support tomorrow. Totally burned out right now! Edit: On to the Genius Bar. Apparently...

    ndoagent

None of what you just said makes any sense! My ONLY purpose for installing the beta OS was to get rid of that extremely intrusive 'ndoagent quit unexpectedly' popup! Whatever--it's fixed!

FOUR calls to Apple support today! After 3, they transfer you to Tier 2 support. (Shot the H out of my day :( ) An hour and a half later, after trying at least a dozen different "techniques" he struck upon a possible solution. Startup in safe mode. Wait for awhile to see if the "ndoagent quit...

Record mode?? Never heard of it. Besides, since the original 12.0, I've installed 12.0.1 twice and 12.1b2 once. This boo-boo happened on the original 12.0.1

    ndoagent

Of course, I screwed up. My problem is how to fix it. The same fella that said to update to 12.1b2 because that would fix it, now says to reinstall and "Erase all content and settings". I'd rather slit my throat than have to go through that!

'21 Genesis GV80. Yes, it does format, but, prior to that, there was a confusing scenario to delete something or other, and somehow, I deleted my entire desktop--nothing else.

I'll try to make this short. Was formatting USB for a car update, and somehow deleted my desktop. Replaces from Time Machine backup, but now I get constant, sporadic ndoagent quitting alerts. Spent time with Apple tech support (yes, I still get it for free with my new 16" MBP) All they could...
