Mac Mini M2 upgrade is in the cards, but I have a question regarding storage ...

EVERYTHING on Dropbox is still on your Mac; it's a backup--not an external storage site.

Mac Mini M2 upgrade is in the cards, but I have a question regarding storage ...

You need to use an external HD to transfer little used docs &/or pics/apps/etc. NOT as a back up, but as a storage drive---then DELETE from your Mac to free up space. Most of what you move will be easily retrievable; however a very few will lose their 'link' and you should leard what can &...

Mac Mini M2 upgrade is in the cards, but I have a question regarding storage ...

Satcomer, That's not what he was asking. What to do with 800+ GB of data. Have you considered using an external SSD to store what you seldom use? 4-8 TB externals are pretty cheap at Costco or Sam's Club. Other places, including Amazon, I'm sure will have similar prices.

How do you remove albums from Music?

If you'll be using a playlist, then what do you care whether they're in an album or not? If you use my original instructions, all songs will be alphabetical by name or artist--your call.

Precisely! You will not lose anything!

How do you remove albums from Music?

In the left hand column, click on 'Songs' instead of 'Albums'.

Any upgrade issues from Monterey to Ventura?

None other than an ever so slight learning curve. Apple likes to throw in some 'quirks'. :)

    Facebook going bizerck?

Is anyone else having trouble with Facebook? It decides to scroll and flick up & down all by itself. It is not just my Mac; wife's does the same thing as do several of my FB friends. If has a mind, however crazy, of it's own! I've deleted & reloaded it; run virus software, and restarted...

    Settings have changed

His OS must be Monterey or Ventura, as he refers to the Music app instead of iTunes. :)

How to share Apple Watch face during Zoom sessions

I'm FAR older than that Bulova! (I used to have a Bulova Accutron!)

How to share Apple Watch face during Zoom sessions

I don't care how I sleep, I don't exercise, or run, or do any of the stuff an iWatch does except tell time. My 15-20 year old Bulova shows me that at a quick glance and I only have to buy a battery every 2 years. My wife has one and the damn thing keeps telling her to breathe--stupid expensive POS!

No. He is a regular with over 10,000 posts. Highly unusual. Maybe hittin' the XMas cheer too soon? :p

Agree. In fact, it makes no sense!

Installing El Capitan on a 2.1 Mac Pro & more

Sounds to me that you are a perfect candidate for a new Mac Mini. You already have a keyboard and a monitor. For a bit more than the HD you were willing to buy, you could go that route. Minis are great little Macs! There are even reconditioned ones.

    Is this climate change?

Y'all can call it whatever you want. If it wasn't for global warming, we'd still be in the ice age!

    The Future is coming ....

That's 99% of what I use these days--wireless charging. If it wasn't for my dog tripping on my MBP MagSafe 3 cord, I'd be using USB-C it it too. (Apple's fabric wrapped MagSafe 3 cord wears fast and gets very dirty!)

Charging Issue with my Mid 2015, 15 inch Macbook Pro

37% - 35.6 is totally insignificant. If you want to save this MBP, I am confidant you just need a new battery. Apple can do this or you can too if you are a bit handy. Go to OWC at macsales.com for battery and full instructions.
