I believe with the EU requirement all electronic devices after 2024 bust have USB C charging! So my feeling with the wireless puck will be the future for a port-less iPhone!

That's 99% of what I use these days--wireless charging.
If it wasn't for my dog tripping on my MBP MagSafe 3 cord, I'd be using USB-C it it too. (Apple's fabric wrapped MagSafe 3 cord wears fast and gets very dirty!)
