What exactly makes the Places Sidebar so much better than toolbar icons? Isn't it basically the same thing, just on the side of the window instead of the top?:confused:

I discovered this on accident: In practically any app, press control+w to cycle through open windows (except for minimized ones). To go in the opposite direction, press control+shift+w. These key commands seem to work in every application, except for IE. In some apps like Photoshop and Flash...

Version Tracker seems to be dead at the moment, does anyone have a direct link to where I can download VCD Tools? Thank You for your help.

Does anyone know of any programs (for OS X or OS 9...) that will convert MPEG's (with sound) into MOV's? I've tried Sparkle, and it didn't work, I've looked on Version Tracker, and the only thing I could find lead to a dead link... Help, PLEASE!:(

My high school uses mostly iMacs (It's quite a sight to behold, row after row of bondi blue iMacs :D, and then in the corner two random Indigo iMacs... ;), oh and there's maybe 5 PeeCs :rolleyes: ) running 9.0, and is soon planning on making the leap to having them all be controlled by Mac OS X...

It makes me dizzy... It's like some crazy roller coaster... :eek: I prefer not to use it... And since we're on the topic of using dock features or not, does anyone animate their icons on startup? :p

OK, now I can understand having two different versions of English but four??? English, Australian English, British English, and US English... And I bet there's no difference between all four...:D Can someone PLEASE explain this craziness to me??? And then people are complaining that...

Under the International pane in Sys Prefs, There's a list of languages, and next to it there's a button that allows you to edit the list... One of the options of language is U.S. English... What's the difference between that and the normal, default English?? Is it less formal or something...
