Greetings, I recently purchased an old iMac DVD SE. (400MHz G3, slot-loading Matshita 8184 DVD drive.) When I first powered on the computer, it had many problems. It wouldn't boot, the screen was all out of alignment, etc. Now I've fixed most of the problems, and I'm on the last one...

That's what I would do - very simple. You can also do things like locking the desktop folder for that user, and, as you noticed, change user parameters.

As far as I know, there isn't a way to do that. You could print to a PDF, and copy the portion you wish to print into another PDF... That's all I can think of. It's a commonly-requested feature though, so I expect it'll be added if it hasn't been already.

Using a *wired* usb keyboard and mouse, disable any bluetooth wireless keyboards and mice in the Bluetooth panel of System Preferences. You could even turn off bluetooth power in the same panel.
