I would like to upgrade my 2012 MM OS X 10.8.5 with an SSD sometime but, I have pretty slow internet connection. 2 GB SD movies from iTunes download anywhere from 4 (fastest) to 8 (slowest) hours. I am wondering if I can download OSX 10.8 via Internet Recovery with my early 2008 MBP OS X 10.8.5...

The SD version was downloaded from iTunes and his iPhone has a lot more than 1.28 GB (size of the movie) of space available. The movie was a digital copy that was included with a dvd/bluray disc that was bought online. A quick look online showed that .ite files aren't easy to transfer to iDevices.

Thanks. I tried the Download Only option and iTunes showed it as a 1.19 GB download. Using iTunes Update option showed it will be done in about 22 hours. :eek: I'll try downloading it later tonight.

Just tried updating the apps with another iPhone 4s and the apps updated just fine with it. The iPod didn't have any updates pending for any of the apps on it. So it seems to be the one iPhone that is not updating. iTunes showed that the software was up to date when I checked, v6.1.3.

There's a little over 5 GB available on the iPhone. I could but, there's other iDevices that use the same apps too and I would like to keep the bandwidth usage to a minimum. Besides, one app is over 1 GB and it took about 3 hours just to download in to iTunes.

No dice. :( The progress bar at the top of iTunes window starts to go through the steps, backing up etc., but right after "determining apps to sync" it stops and the Update buttons are still showing.
