Anyone here running Maya under OS X yet? I would like to see the performance under X :)

After Kernel Panics....now...Finder quits! Finder quits at least 5 times a day! When Finder quits all other opened apps are also quit! :mad: What's up??????

...but all my RAM pass the memory test and such... so...is the RAM still the cause of kernel panic? :confused:

OSX 10.1 keeps giving me kernel panic once every few days. Even I still suspect it's iTunes that causes kernel panic.....many people from different sites (especially to MacFixit) say the RAM maybe the culpit....but how can I tell? If the memory fails the memory test under 9.2 with firmware...

iTune also gives me Kernel Panic under 10.1 :( But I load the MP3s and the app from the internal HD...same partition....

Lots of people suggest that RAM is the major factor for casuing unstable OSX environment. but I want to know why...............

Pressure sensitive feature only applies to Classic apps. This feature doesn't seem to work in carbonized apps like Painter, etc :mad:

Now I decide to stick with Word 98.....run it under Classic. I found out there will be couple of apps that I use will NEVER be ported to OSX....so Classic....I still have to stick with you..... BTW...I will get AppleWorks 6 from my dad anyway. I can type my resume and such with it. And only...

Yesterday when I tried to boot back to OS 9.2 from X. What I saw was a grey screen and nothing happen. Zapped the PRAM and the machine booted back to X, no problem. But when I select the 9.2 boot disk and restart....same grey screen. Then I hit the cuda switch on my DP G4's motherboard. And...

Well.....even Public Beta apps can cause data loss :D Anyway. I really like Maxon's products. Fast, stable (very important) :) Lightwave is powerful but the constant crashes (even on NT!) really makes me stay away from it.....

I got to make it clear that....I do know couple of resellers and we have very good relationships. They allow me to use their "Not for Resale" version of the apps to evaluate. And that include ALL the apps I mentioned. "Try it before you buy" is my principle...especially you are paying...
