So far Limewire is the biggest suspect..... I lauch iTunes and Hotline and Carracho along with other Cinema (native) and Word 98 (classic) and so far okay....haven't seen kernel panic.... I also tried starting Limewire with Cinema and Word....boom! instant kernel panic.....I don't know if...

Now I am starting to suspect the problem is from either one of them: 1) Carracho 2) iTunes..... 3) MP3 Rage 4) LimeWire I tried to startup many applications at the same time again (without these four) and had no problems...... I remember back to the 10.04 days these four...

My only concern still is Classic...... :(

Well....I have been thinking about this question for over a week already. As some people here already know that I only deal with graphics and video related stuff and don't bother touching "business" stuff. I have Office 98 (got it from a big clearence sales) and am using it just to type...

I tried to start up 13 very light apps like preview, processor view , Acrobat....etc no problem. ....but half of the apps that I mentioned before are heavy apps and are sitting on different partitions.....

What I said "launch" in my post was starting up I have tons of apps open in OSX (maybe over 20 something). What I meant in the last post is that never try to start up over 10 apps at once. The HD will have to keep pace with all those apps and that may cause kernel panic. That's what I...

Launch IE, Omni Web, Hotline, Carrcho, iTunes, NAV, Limewire, MP3 Rage, AppleWorks, Cinema 4D, BodyPaint 6.3, Bryce 5, Painter 7, Freehand 10, Graphic Converter, Preview, Toast PB1 , BBEdit Lite at the same time..... Yeap...apps launch real quick but when the last app is launch.....instant...

There is no Real Player app and plug in for OSX yet. The only way to view Real Video with OS X is to launch the classic version of either Netscape or IE.

Everytime when my G4 is running OSX and after wake from deep sleep the HD keeps spining up and down every five minutes. I am sure I set the HD sleep to NEVER in the control panel I do also turn the machine in deep sleep when running OS 9 but I don't see the HD spin up and down problem. Is...

That "clean install" option is reformatting the drive or partition and then put all files onto it. That's what I call "super" clean install ;)

Same thing happen to PC. It takes forever to copy files to the 100MB Zip with the internal IDE 250MB Zip drive.

Photoshop Running PS under Classic is a joke. Can't get more or less than 350MB RAM to it. Otherwise, the app with quit and crash during launching :mad: Final Cut Pro Can't launch under Classic at all :mad:

I have **** around with the memory allocation thing with Photoshop 6.01 for use in Classic I found out the *only* workable memory allocation is 362768KB, can't go any lower or higher....otherwise I will get application quit errors.... Does anyone know how I am able to allocate more RAM to...
