send people pdf files get them to send you pdf more often than not you dont need to edit the file to get just read it. At least in OSX is easy to make a pdf file That way no embarrassing resumes formats

I think you should seriously consider doing a clean install as i have no problem moving icons or windows around the screen

i believe to enable the root user you need to use the NetInfo manager and go to: enable root user in the domain/security menu. Trouble is it is greyed out.:( Any thoughts? I am the only user on the machine. Thanks John

Well I have to say i dont know really what you are talking about. The finder speed on my G4 450 is doesnt really seem any different to OS 9.

James - that is good stuff only trouble is i am new to OS X - what does "3. Save the document, then switch to terminal (if not there already) and cd to the location you saved that file " mean. Also Im not even sure how to get to the terminal. I think I understood the rest Regards...
