Project Builder & Java Packages Build problem

Hi, Can anyone help me with the following problem. I'm developing a 100% java command tool using project builder. Obviously I'm using a package hierarchy, but I can't build. That's actually a lie, I could but each time I restart Project Builder I have to physically reorganise my files...

Anyone in Europe received their pbook yet?

The wide angle is definitely better. The luminosity of the screen is just incredible. The one thing I have noticed is that the screen seems to have a brownish tint when viewed from an angle greater than 40% from the front. Strange, but it still is ledgible. Running Java apps causes the fan to...

Anyone in Europe received their pbook yet?

Got my 1ghz Superdrive today. First things I noticed. a) The screen is beautiful and bright, I had to set the brightness down to 50% to get the same level as my old 500. b) Fan seems to be on more often than my 500Mhz but is much quieter. c) Keyboard is much firmer, but that could be just...

Anyone in Europe received their pbook yet?

THe delivery company is the thing that annoys me, TNT here in France. You have the web-page link from your apple order which is useless, only shows what has happened and it doesn't really interest me where they're going to do product merge, but I would like to know what bloody date they think...

Anyone in Europe received their pbook yet?

I ordered my 1ghz, 1gb, super-drive on the first date. It was due to arrive today, but the flight from Taiwan has been delayed! So I have to wait till Monday, drats. Another weekend. I just wondered if they're starting to be seen in Europe yet? John.

    new powerbook, wait or buy?

When I get mine, I will post some stats and stuff. I will compare it against the first edition powerbook G4 (500Mhz). I should get it towards the end of December. John.

    new powerbook, wait or buy?

Delivery according to site is 3-5 weeks. Will see. Heat wise, well it has got to be better than my Mercury 500Mhz. Well known for its toastiness. I'm really looking forward to putting my entire photo collection onto one DVD and running my integration server, java dev tools and all my office...

    new powerbook, wait or buy?

This is what I have been waiting for over the last couple of months. I've got a G4 500Mhz (Mercury) TiBook and I love it, but it is pig slow for Java development and I would like something that's a bit snappier in general use. I have made my order half and hour ago and I upped the memory to...

    BBC finally do QuickTime

Hi everyone, Don't know if you like Walllace & Grommit, but finally the BBC have released something that does QuickTime. There site can be quite un-mac friendly with most clips being real-media player only (I know it has finally been released for OS X, but what's the problem with offering...

Comparing MacOS X to winXP is nothing like comparing to Mac OS 7 or 8 or whatever. It is a valid comparison because XP is basically Window 2000 in new clothers. Most companies stilll use Windows 2000. Plus I must confess I much prefer Windows 2000 to XP. Of all the version of Windows it is the...

    Jobs has resigned!

well at least I didn't lie, like the threads "Quark has released an OS X version" or others. Anyhow I doubt if anyone will fall for it, the fact that he has resigned is all over the web now. John

    Apple buying SUN

If you look at the vast majority of dev tools, they are still based on 1.3. Some environments still even use 1.2. Although upgrading the JVM is easy and normally there shouldn't be issues running under a new JRE. I just wanted to point out that it isn't a hindrance running 1.3.1 for most Java...

    osX on a imac 333mhz?

Have you orgraded via software updater to 10.2.1? There were some CD (writing ISO PC compatible not possible) issues which were fixed with the update. Perhaps it included reading CD's! Try the update, see if that works John.

    osX on a imac 333mhz?

Cool, I think you will find resizing or scrolling slower, but that's about it. I try not to resize, but instead use the green button to auto-resize any windows (if it works properly, depends on app). I must say that little things are a lot slower than a PC. Opening a text document on my work...

    osX on a imac 333mhz?

10.2 will work fine albeit slowly. Quartz Etreme will not work with your graphics card, so you won't see as big a speed-up from 10.1.5 to 10.2 as others who have an up-todate graphics card, but it certainly won't stop you running 10.2 on your machine. John.
