I can't enter data into the Total cell because it needs to Sum from the rows above. That's what I can't figure out.

Since updating to Mavericks, the new Numbers app no longer remembers settings such as window size, which sheet I last viewed, autofill cell data. The Preferences menu doesn't allow me to specify any of these settings. How can I reinstate them?
