Most likely new product at mwsf?

I'm thinking a new iPod revision will make it's appearance A new iApp would be nice though...especially one that would let me talk via voice with my sweetie overseas...i've heard iPhone being thrown around as a possibility for this. Would certainly be nice... ...and it would save me a lot...

    What's your most treasured bit-o-hardware?

Even though I'm angered at the lack of OSX scanning and printing support, I gotta go with my Epson StylusScan 2500. I don't know how i'll ever go back to a regular printer now that I've had this little gem. Being able to make photocopies on the fly without messing with the computer has saved...

    Buy a Mac for Xmas

I think the best part about this article is the talkback section underneath it...LOL I've been reading the posts for the last half hour now and I must say they have me cracking up! I should be studying for my Infectious Disease exam on Wed., but I can't pull myself away from the posts...it's...

    A hello, welcome, I'm new thread ?

Glad to have ya here Mystique...me thinks that I sense a british mac user...if so welcome from across the pond. :D Also, if you are from britain...I see that you are a firefigher, how is the strike situation there? I only briefly heard about it on the news...

Are you a full time OS X user yet?

I would have said that I'm completely OS9 free, except for the fact that when I was studying for finals I had to use a disc of radiology images that were only useable under Classic. There's just too much chance right now for me to run into something that requires Classic to have it completely...

    geeks vs. computer users

haha...didn't mean to steal your thunder Ed :p I'm glad you made this thread though, and I also want to make clear that I'm not saying that all of the very savvy are the same...it's just that the general feeling I've gotten. (Being more of a browser here than a poster the last few months)...

    geeks vs. computer users

I know exactly where you are coming from Ed...and I totally agree with you. I've been a mac user my entire computer functioning life, but I never took it any further than that. Sure I tell all of my friends about it, and everyone that knows me knows that I use Macs, but I've never gotten so...

3.5GB folder, split archive to CD-size chunks?

The free components of stuffit don't allow you to do this, but if you purchase the retail version of stuffit deluxe you will find the ability to do exactly what you are describing. I'm not aware of any freeware that does the same...if you find any free solution please let me know about it...

PowerBook's new PC rival--designed by Porsche

Not that I'm giving this thing a shining endorsement...but I've always wished I could play CD's on my powerbook without having to have the lid open or use a separate program. I think it's handy to have easily accessed controls and such to be able to do this... *ducks to avoid the oncoming...

what happened to my iTunes library?

OK...something weird just happened. I opened up iTunes as usual, and when I did, my entire library of over 4 gigs was completely empty. I haven't moved any files or directories and can't understand how this could have happened. Now when I look in my HD I see I have 4 more gigs of...

Spanish people here? Just to know...

He's not an admin here Samuel (we have one admin), but the "mac news and rumor discussion" forum is reserved for discussion on mac news and rumors. General threads like this one are reserved for the macosx cafe. That way there is some organization on the forums and people can find the things...

.mac which .mac application do you use

I finally bit the bullet and bought .mac, I swore I never would... ...when I tried setting up a homepage through geocities though, I sorely missed what I had with the former iTools. Homepage was so easy that I guess I took it for granted. A great service and now I'm glad I have the extra...

The true benefits of a mac

I wouldn't say this is necessarily true...both machines can crash horrifically, it's not like macs are useable, then after a crash you have to send them in for repair. I have probably 1/10 the computer knowledge as some of the more experienced gurus on these boards, and I've never had my mac...

    digital cameras?

Glad to hear you are happy with your purchase...yeah, from what I've seen the A40 is hard to find...it's sold out wherever I've looked. Must be a popular model... I'm hoping I can find it sometime next week...I'm working extra hours just to save up the money to get this puppy...I figure I'll...

    Chimera > iWeb

Usually when Apple gets a hold of something they improve upon it and give it that special touch...I hope they turn Chimera into the top of the line browser that Mac users deserve. :)

    RIP Apple PDA rumors, hopes...

LOL...I just love that when we think of the computer that we use we get excited... Macs are something special...Apple has tapped into something here that will make it very hard for them to ever go under. I'm excited about Apple getting into any market...if they bring us a cell phone I'm...
