3.5GB folder, split archive to CD-size chunks?

I've got a 3.5 GB folder that I need to back up onto CD before I upgrade to 10.2

What can I use to archive this folder in segments that will fit evenly on a CD and then rebuild the folder structure after? No single file is bigger than a CD BTW, just lots of files. I noticed that DropTAR/DropStuff (7.0.2) doesn't have this feature, or else I'm blind.

The free components of stuffit don't allow you to do this, but if you purchase the retail version of stuffit deluxe you will find the ability to do exactly what you are describing.

I'm not aware of any freeware that does the same...if you find any free solution please let me know about it, i'd definitely be interested
