    Apache Server Logs

I've been looking through the access logs of several of my servers and have found an issue that only seems to exist on server. I've set up my log format to be the full referral user agent all info style log. The first entry being %h, however, rather then recording the ip of the person loading...

    FreeTDS

FreeTDS is a free re-implementation of the TDS (Tabular DataStream) protocol that is used by Sybase and Microsoft for their database products. It currently implements TDS 4.2, 5.0 and 7.0, so it should be able to communicate with any Sybase products and Microsoft SQL Server. That's how the...

    FreeTDS

I did get it to install alright using the latest version from the cvs (they have instructions on their site how to get it from the cvs) and then replacing config.guess and config.sub with the ones from my /usr/libexec directory. However, once you compile it in with PHP, apache starts giving...

    PHP4 on Mac OS X 10.0 ???

I've been through the full install from stepwise, gotten apache and php4 installed and working, and then about a little while of use, it suddenly stops accepting connections, I try to restart and it says okay, and still doens't accept connections, I stop it, and it says its not running. So I...

    PHP/MySQL on OS X

Yeah, they did change it to httpd.conf, though so far as I've found you can only edit it via terminal now, kind of annoying since I'd prefer to do it in bbedit, but that's life. I've got the httpd.conf file all set up properly and it serves perfectly when I start it up myself, but it won't...

    PHP/MySQL on OS X

I followed the instructions here to install apache and php without a hitch, however, apache doesn't seem to start when I log into X, I have to go into the terminal and 'sudo apachectl start' it. Any suggestions on how to get it to run automatically when the computer boots? Anything would be...

Why I know pedantic mac users are a new phenomenon

In an article on macworld, here is a direct quote on the new OS. "As for the new OS's naming scheme, it's officially OS X version 10.0, says Phil Schiller, Apple vice president of worldwide marketing." The article can be found here: http://maccentral.macworld.com/news/0103/22.final.shtml...

    Netscape for X?

Its truly not that hard to create multiple browser compliant javascript and html. And quite frankly, if it weren't for javascript and graphical websites, the web would be a far more boring place. The problem is that the majority of people out there don't take the time to work on compliancy...

    FreeTDS

I'm looking to install FreeTDS on OS X PB (and final since it comes out this weekend.) but having little success thus far. I'm mostly a mac guy with very little experience in unix or linux, so I'm not making a whole lot of progress. Has anyone else had any success in this area?

    Experimental MySQL.pkg double-click installer

Is there any chance of instructions/a package with support for MS SQL compiled into the php/apache install rather then mySQL. I'm forced to stay on MS SQL for now and have little experience in compiling apps. Here's to hoping.
