Developer tools just won't load for me.
When double cliking, they zoom box and then... well, nothing.
All except MRJAppBuilder which bounces and crashes.
Any Ideas?

Basically- they are within their rights to do so.
You don't have much choice, short of using a Mac User Group to put an impression for you.
You could contact a trading standards person, or an industry watchdog.

Get info for a .sit file, select the 'Open with application' tab, select Stuffit, and click on 'Change all..'

I've managed to build an app in OS X using MRJAppBuilder, but project builder is having real poroblems with it.
Basically, how do I impliment a java app as a built app in pre OS X?

I'm having a problem getting OS X to mount/recognise my USB Hard Drive (external).
It works fine in OS 9, and OS X System Profiler brings it up fine.
Any ideas all?

Basically,
Mac OS X when launches classic checks to see that it can (classic uses some additional files combined with OS 9 to enable it to launch as it does).
If these files are not present, it asks you if you want to copy them into OS 9 to enable it to run in classic mode.

I get it everytime I boot up, because you can have password protection directly from the boot ROM.

Doesn't the modem automatically dial when a network connection is requested (I may be wrong, prehaps it is only airport that does this.)?
I would agree with checking the settings.
If none of that works, re-install os X and that should fix it.

I've found thatevery now and again, the status of airport in internat connect has shown unavailable, as if there was no airport base station in range.
A simple way to sort this:
