    nope, no developer tools with the cd. this is the "instant up to date" cd that i picked up at an apple store. dev cd does come with the 19.95 cd you order from apple. i tried a reinstall of postfix but it failed during 'make' guess i just have to wait untill the new dev tools are...

    Accessing httpd.config problem - HELP!

    skip textedit and just edit the file in a terminal text editor as root. i.e. "sudo vi /etc/httpd/httpd.conf" though if you're not familiar with the vi editor you can always do "sudo pico /etc/httpd/httpd.conf"

    yeah, sucks. for now i've just changed permissions on nidump so only root can run it and i just sudo if i need it.

    finally got around to installing enough stuff to make my OS X machine useable as a shell box. mainly so i can ssh in from work, but while i was at it gave a couple of accounts(non-admin of course) to friends. after a couple days i fingered them to see if they were using their accounts...
