I've got avi files, that need that component to work on VLC. I don't know if its just an instenction...I was told wmv3 is still unavailable for mac users... Is there anyway I could play my files?

I have a problem with WMV files to play on my IbookG4 I have downloaded countless window's media player applications from different websites, but it still does not work, either I download it under Bin, or Stix...something Like that I'm not sure...Although all the other programs are working fine...
