I can't get rid of NAV 9, I tried 3 times now using the uninstaller bundled with the software and I alway get an "UNKNOWN ERROR" msg. So talk to you after I'm finished with the clean install :mad: :mad: :mad:

yes you're right Giaguara and I am aware of that but my biggest concern is not that PC viruses can do any harm to my mac but that my mac can spread them to other PC's connected to my network or to friends and colleagues. A virus such as Nimda that spread through e-mail is a perfect example...

Thanks to all for your input but I thought NAV 9 was good since it can detect PC viruses which is an important feature for me and my home network.

I had a kernel panic yesterday while i was scaning my HD using Norton AV 9. Since panther is still in its beta stage, is it safe to run an antivirus software in it ?

Maybe Roxio's gonna need to update Toast to run in panther...

I can't start toast in Panther, does any 1 else have this problem ? the application quits as soon as it appears in the dock. :mad: Is there a wa to fix it ?

yeah it was working under mac os 9.2.1 but i got rid of it, now i am stuck with 10.1 only. About HP site forget it they've never supported my 8200 serie under mac OS, anyway, so there is no driver for it there. I only need mac os 10.1 to recognize it when i plug it to my usb port

Yeah it's a USB mass compliant drive, yeah it was working under mac os 9.2.1 but i got rid of it. Mac os x still doesn't recognize it with the beta of toast.
