Yep, I think that's why it happened. I've used other backup programs in the past that would just pass that day on the backup if the external drive wasn't present.

I found a hidden folder called "volumes" which had a backup of my entire hard drive. Somehow, I guess, I must've inadvertanly backed up my hard drive using Carbon Copy or SuperDuper to my computer hard drive, instead of to my external hard drive. Whoops. Thansk for your help.

Hi. For months I've been using a little less than half of my 60Gig Hard drive. Suddenly today I noticed I have only 6Gigs available, using 50 Gigs. When I go folder by folder and add up the size of the contents I get roughly 22 Gigs. Anybody have ideas? Thanks. --Dare
