Forgot to mention that clicking on links in iChat or Mail is useless now. They don't do anything. I can open Firefox and have it become the default but after a restart its back to being hosed again.

Hate to say it but it sounds like a logic board. Probably cost you about $280 to repair through Apple.

Have you tried repairing permissions? Also try removing the preference file from your ~/Library/Preferences/. You can also try moving (not deleting) the address book support folder in ~/Library/Application Support. If that works then your problem lies within on of those files.

OK, so I installed MacDNS. One question I have, hopefully you can answer it, I have set the parent server address to open DNS's servers. Will that pull records from the open DNS server as queries are made or will it pull records automatically to build its own database?

I am using open DNS, I really just wanted to make a project out of it and have it bind to open DNS.

Hey guys, I have been given a PowerMac 6500/250 and am seriously considering making it into a DNS server since my ISP's DNS server likes to not work at all at least two times a week. I know I want it to run on a linux or BDS OS, unless someone knows of a free SW that will run it from OS 8-9...

Is it giving you any kind of errors? What is your OS version? What is your system specs? Any and all info you have to give is helpful.

Still does it. its not the screensaver. it has something to do with a video driver or something. I just can't remember what it was exactly and how to fix it. I happened to almost everyone with a beige G3.

I've been searching all over to find a fix for 10.2.8 on a beige G3 that the screen goes black while doing certain tasks like repairing permissions and software update. Does anyone remember how to fix this? I used to know but have forgotten due to the fact that I only use 10.3 now.

My Terminal window is screwy. When I open Terminal it comes up as a little tiny window, so small that I can only see the close button and nothing else. I have tried to trash the terminal prefs but am still having the problem. Attached is a picture of my problem. Thanks!
