HELP! Can't resize terminal window!

My Terminal window is screwy. When I open Terminal it comes up as a little tiny window, so small that I can only see the close button and nothing else. I have tried to trash the terminal prefs but am still having the problem. Attached is a picture of my problem.

Seems another user's problem was that he disabled the Monaco font for some strange reason unbeknownst to me, since Monaco is a font installed by OS X and shouldn't be disabled.
