no matter, i read a few other posts on this topic and answered my own question... If you click on the 10.1 in the about this mac, it changes to the build number, another click and it changes to your macs serial number, another click and it is back to 10.1 heh cool.

i have updated the stuff and have not had any kernel panics..not sure if i have noticed any differences tho I am wondering how i get the info on the build of osx , i thought i just went about this mac and it stated it, now it just says 10.1 , where's the build number?

i've had the same thing happen when going into full screen sometimes the speakable items opens,,,. dunno why

Well i updated like you a few days ago and when i first ran the DVD player it quit out and was being ghey, but the next time i opened it and since it has been fine, so i don't know a solution sorry ;-/ And with the toast, i get the same error in x, says no cdr found, so i have to boot into 9...

yeah i'm after something like webshots is for pc (win) i tried webshots for Mac os9.x and it sucked :( i am not sure if they offer an osx vers. (www.webshots.com) but yeah i only use it for windows when i have to use that crappy os ;-/ i am also after a desktop pic changer like this for osx...

hey there all, i have a new ibook with combo drive and all works well, except there seems to be a weird problem of it fully locking up (in osx and 9.1) so i can't do a damn thing but insert a pin to restart and each time i do that the date and time get reset, which is turning into a real pain in...

Anyone know why i can recieve email via osx's mail app , but not send it? times out and says unable to send mail via port 110 or something.. any ideas? its probably just a setting i have it on, or dont have it on or set right or whatever.. like maybe the port? anyone know off hand how i can...

YAY.. it finally booted ok... Weird that it took like 200 attempts tho - loads of times the spinning hourglass would hang in the top left corner, and other times it would boot back into 9 and i would be back at the osx pb prompt to hit enter and it will shutdown and restart and then guide me...
