I have trouble w/ my VPN connection to my workplace. I can seemingly connect okay, but whenever I try to Remote Desktop Connect into my Windows XP workstation, it locks up at the Windows XP login screen. I've tried disabling my firewall, etc, but still can't seem to get VPN functioning...

Strictly speaking this is not an OS X problem. But I would appreciate any help you can offer me. I have a mixed platform home network (three macs and one Windows XP home edition machine) that all share a cable high speed connection. The macs are all connected wirelessly with AirPort. The XP...

VPN slows down regular internet access

I'm using Internet Connect VPN (PPTP) into my work. However, when I do so access to the internet through Safari or Explorer slows & pretty much dies (most, not all, sites often, not always, time out). Is there a way to keep it so that I've got the VPN for using Citrix or Terminal Server...

Connecting via SMB over VPN 5000

Connecting via SMB over VPN on the Mac works sometimes, but not others. We are using both the latest Cisco client (5.2.3) and Mac OS (10.2.4). We do know that it affects the Cisco VPNs as well as the Nortel VPNs, yet both are configured to allow all traffic. we also looked that the firewall...

When connected to VPN, external IPs inaccessible

I can connect to our VPN from my 10.2.3 Mac and access all the internal resources. But while the connection is active, I cannot get to any external IP addresses. I think this is because Mac OS X tries to route all traffic through the VPN connection instead of just routing internal traffic...

    OS 9.2 VPN Client

It appears there is no native OS X Nortel VPN Client software available. Nortel does have a version for OS 9.x If I start a VPN session in OS 9.x, would I be able to run OS X apps thru the VPN tunnel, or is the VPN connection exclusive to OS 9.x apps? Thanks

VPN Tracker for Mac OS X

Anybody try using this program yet? It's the first IPSec VPN client for OS X. Looks like the minimum requirement is OS 10.2. Looks like an alternative to MacPGP, but doesn't use x.509 or NAT traversal. http://www.equinux.com/us/news/detail.html?id=47 Thanks.

    VPN PPTP client and sleep

On my newly installed cable modem system, I'm required to establish a VPN connection to my university. I accomplish that using Jag's built-in PPTP client in Internet Connect. When I put the machine to sleep, Internet Connect disconnects. I would much prefer to maintain that connection, as I seem...

    Jaguar: IPSec VPN Client?

IPSec VPN Client in Jaguar I've read through some of the threads regarding Jaguar, and it barely mentions IPSec functionality. Because of this, I'd like to get some opinions out there (for those developers who actually went to the WWDC). Is IPSec included natively in Jaguar? If so, does it...
