10.1.5 Update Won't install Over 10.1.2

Have downloaded 10.1.5 Combo Update (45.1 MB!) to install over 10.1.2 in the hope it will solve some sharing problems between my G3 & G4. When I get to select a destination disk my HD is greyed out and a balloon message "This volume does not meet the requirements for this update" appears. I'm holding out for 10.2 but was hoping this would solve my little sharing problem.

Are you sure you've got at least 300 MB of free space on that volume?

Have you maybe updated to the latest software update, included with SecurityUpdate7-12-02. If so, a 10.1.5 installer downloaded around that date or before, may not work, as Apple has changed over to signed? files. I had that same problem, Re-downloaded  the same update this week, now installs fine. Without that dumb update, what you have should install OK, double check how much space is available on your HD.....
