1920 X 1200 second dispaly on a mac book

Hi.

Can one put a 1920 X 1200 second diplay on a 13" macbook or a 17" mac .

The only screen resolution that shows up for the second display is 1024 X 768.

The second display is a Samsung SyncMAster 245 BW.

I believe that you can, yes.

What kind of connection are you using for the external monitor? VGA? DVI? Composite?
