When I insert a blank cd on my g5 one cd mounts on teh desktop, i go into itunes and burn the cd and then the new cd mounts there also, the other cd "UNTITLED CD" for the finder is there as well, and when I take out the cd the one that is "UNTITLED" is still there also. I am running 10.3 and i also have toast titanium, anyone got any idea on what the problem could possibly be and how I can solve this?

Only time 2 pop up is when you have 2 sessions on a CD. So something is either wrong with that CD or the system.

When you insert the blank CD, choose "ignore" when OSX asks you what to do with it. THEN do the iTunes Burn.

Or better yet, don't even insert the disc until iTunes asks for it.

Yes, I've seen this too with Toast and Finder. Finder's getting confused, and it puts up another icon for the cd. It appears to be harmless inasmuch as it doesn't cause any obvious instability.

You can click on the icon(s) and command-E or ctrl-click eject it/them.

Go into your System Preferences, and then to the "CDs & DVDs" pane. Make sure "When you insert a blank CD" is NOT set to "Open Finder". This will cause the CD to be "opened" by the Finder -- effectively formatting the CD for data use. That could be the culprit of the "UNTITLED CD" phenomenon.

Setting this to "Ignore" would be a good choice, or "Ask what to do". Keep in mind, though, that if you select "Ask what to do", every time you insert a blank CD a window will pop up asking what you want to do with it. If you don't want to format it for data use then, select "Ignore" from this window.

I never had that before, I had Toast open a second window when i insert a blank CD though. My default opens Toast, so I guess thats why.
