2003 Browser Wars!!!

Whats your primary browser for 2003?

Chimera here.

I began with IE then to OW then back to IE then to OW then to Mozilla then Chimera in the early stages then to Mozilla for a while and now I'm finally back to Chimera.

I like it for many reasons..

1.) It's not as crappy as IE
2.) Mozilla just doesn't feel like an OS X app. Too clunky. And the built in email and chat clients are useless. I want to use something else.
3.) It's fast
4.) It's updated every night and is easilly installable and customizable icons.
5.) Like the Beatles once said, it's getting better all the time.
 
Chimera by far. Here's why:

1.) IE... no. Way too slow, unresponsive, and buggy.
2.) Omniweb... I would, but it's a bit slow. It looks really nice, though. :p
3.) Mozilla... Tried it, but it looks just looks ugly. :D It doesn't feel like an OS X app at all. It's like the Wacom "control panel" in OS X; it still has an OS 9 interface!
4.) Opera... Quick, but buggy. It seems to crash every five seconds. And they put banner ads in it and expect you to pay for it? No.
5.) Netscape... I'm not even going to touch this one. I've used 7 in OS 9.

Why I use Chimera:
1.) Fast and responsive.
2.) No bugs.
3.) Pop-up blocking.
4.) Aqua interface.
5.) Standards compliant.
6.) Supports Flash and Quicktime well.
7.) Aqua buttons!
8.) Tabbed browsing.

:) By the way, xaq: You missed Opera, so I added it in for you.
 
Netscape, Mozilla, iCab, IE, Omniweb, Opera: useless features in buggy applications, sometimes recovered with more (Opera) or less (MSIE) advertising. Just what I hate !

Chimera is to browsing what BBEdit is to coding: bare to bones. Just what I need !

I'm using Build ID: 2002122004. This version crashes with only ne of my regular visits and never crashed when visiting other sites. I've even stopped upgrading it !
 
I've used them all but right now it's Chimera

Netscape - very good but way too slow compared to chimera

Mozilla - way too slow, crashes too much

iCab- not enuff plugin supported/bad css

IE - no tabbed browsing but it has to stay there for sites that dont work in mozilla

Omniweb - dont really have any quirks with this..just dont like it that much

Opera-i use this on the pc also, be much better without the banner ads. it comes in second though after chimera
