I have a PowerMac G4 Quick Silver 2002 model 800mhz single prosessor and I cant figure out what I need to install a third hard drive. I already have two installed and only see the power harness for the third. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Dan

Apparently, there are only two drive bays, although you can install the hard drive below the optical drive in the Zip bay. You can connect the 3rd hard drive to the (slow) optical drive ribbon cable, but you'll sacrifice speed as a side effect. Your other option is to purchase an ATA PCI card, such as the Sonnet Tempo 133, and run a ribbon cable up to the hard drive.

The Quicksilverhas bays for four drives. Piggyback on the main drive, and two mounting brackets on the floor to the left of the main drive.

You need to purchase an IDE PCI card for more than two drives.
