6 pin Firewire 400 into USB2 adapter?

play thing
I've upgraded to a new MacBook Pro from a G5 Desktop.

Most of my work is contained on 2 external Lacie Firewire (400) drives, but because Apple have only included a single FW-800 port I can no longer connect these to my machine.

The question is, what's the best way to resolve this issue?

I assume there's some kind of adapter, but as yet I haven't had any joy finding the relevant gizmo. Any advice/ reviews/ (UK) links would be much appreciated.

Thanx a bunch

And since you've got two drives but only one FireWire port, a FireWire hub may be in order, too... unless you can daisy-chain your FireWire drives.

Cool, thanks. Not a UK link, but I guess at least I know that one exists now :)
@...CaCa. Thanks for the reply too. Both have 2 ports so no worries.

Does the new iMac has old FW-400 port(s)?
