60gb freezes up

my 60gb video ipod froze during a song and nothing would work. I was not able to turn it off, etc... Even after plugging it into my IMAC G5, it wouldn't show that it was plugged into the computer.

Also, previously while watching a video, the screen stopped, but I continued to hear the audio.

Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the iPod? Hold down "menu" and the center select button simultaneously for a few seconds, until it reboots.
 
Sure did and that did work... but i wonder if these are signs of a bigger problem?????
any thoughts???
what about if it happens again , will i loose my stuff?
i have read this has been happening....

mine does the same exact thing. just freezes up and I do the menu and center button thing and it resets but it freezes frequently.
 
Yeah,
i was told to do that as well...
I was just wondering if this is something that is common or is this a symptom of a bigger problem????
