a good media player

I'm looking for a good media player for mac osx 10.4.8 that can play .wmv, .divx, .mpg, and pretty much everything else. is there a good one out there?

Perian is a good addition to Quicktime, which allows a large variety of video formats to play.

In order to play .wmv files, you need to download and install Flip4Mac. The latest version of VLC will also play them. The Quicktime codec Perian will handle .divx as will VLC. Virtually everything plays .mpg out-of-the-box.

if u were hopin to get a good media player for Mac - not there being much point me posting this right now but you can get Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 Series for M<ac from a site called Mactopia - http://www.microsoft.com/mac/ Mactopia has other useful utilities on there such as Microsoft Messenger for Mac which the equal to Windows Messenger...
