AD Time Sync Problem

I'm having a problem with my mac clients (10.4) not validating login if the time is something like 30 seconds different. I have the Group Policy allowing 180 minute time threshold, but the macs don't seem to care about this policy. I've set the time sync in system prefs to our local domain, but this hasn't solved the problem because the threshold seems to be less than a minute and the time doesn't seem to sync until you login first.

I can't find a solution to this problem. The macs are all connecting via wireless, I don't seem to have the same problem on a wired network.
 
Can you add NTP services to your AD server, then set the Macs to automatically sync time (via the Date & Time System Prefeence) with your AD server?
 
I've set the time to sync with the domain, which it seems to do, but still falls out of the 60 second threshold. Do the macs just ignore the Kerberos Group Policy for the domain?
