adding cups printer unauthorized??

I'm running panther. I'm running the cups that came with it. i go to the machines ip:631 it recognizes the local printer fine test page printers to the printers as it should. I can view the local printer but when i click add printer i get a page that says i'm not authorized to view the page. Anyone know what this is?

Hmm... strange... howabout trying to add a printer through the Printer Setup Utility instead of the CUPS web interface?

When I click on "Add Printer" in the CUPS web interface, I am presented with a username/password dialog, and my username/password doesn't work. I still don't think you should be using the web interface to add a printer -- the Printer Setup Utility should do just fine, and it'll be 100% CUPS.
