No, a memory mod to add more memory is not possible on any iPad (without good tech knowledge, and experience with a top-grade soldering station anyway 
)
Your iPad Air 2 came in several different memory configurations, up to 128GB.
So, upgrading the memory means getting an iPad that already has more memory from the factory. That's the only way.
