Adobe apps on a Mac and in XP

In XP, in Photoshop (to use an example), when there is an Open or Close or whatever in a dialogue box, you can click on it anywhere and it executes.

If there is another dialogue box under that, and the Open/Close button is in the same cursor position, just click and it executes.

On a Mac, however, there often seems to be a "hot spot" when clicking an Open/Close - you just can't click anywhere on the button.

And if there is another dialogue box under it, with the button in the same cursor position, clicking on it doesn't work - you must move the mouse slightly so that the mac can sense there is a button there - and then you can click on it.

Is this a feature, or a bug?

Not true.

Alas. It is true.

That's what is happening with my Photoshop Elements 9 in the Mac environment.

Well, yes, the 'hot spot' is often just the button, and not a large area including the button. It depends on how that dialog window is coded.
You can often just use the keyboard for the first letter of the button that you want to choose that button.
Occasionally you will find dialogues that belong to another app or window, requiring bringing that app to the front by the action that you are asking about.

I'd say, neither a feature, nor a bug. It's just a difference in how OS X and your app works, compared to Windows with a similar operation. Just different...
