Adobe flash player 9??????

What's the deal with this flash player 9 ?
I try to play some videos on different webs and it tells me to download the player. I try and a popup window tells me that apple won't allow it ???????
Frustrating !!!!!! Any work arounds?
P.s. Apple tech support emailed me stating that the play is to old and slow, and that's all they said---???????????

I got some help on this and fixed it---I reset safari app. And that fixed it-don't know why but I can play all videos now on all web sites. Go figure?

Still having prob. Won't let me download and instal even 10.0.3 flash player. Anyone got any ideas. Some web sites I can play videos and others say I don't have flash player plugin?

What version of OS X are you running? I ask because it really depends if modern Flash can run in older OS X.

Download and run the Flash Uninstaller, then you should be able to install Flash 10.3...
Uninstaller - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#ostype=m,prob1=uninst,os=m10.6,

That same page will also detect and show you what version you have installed now.

Then, install the latest and greatest:
10.3 installer: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

You'll see other troubleshooting on those pages, and that should get you going....

You'll also notice that flash depends on which browser you currently use.
